The Montreal Clinical Research Institute (IRCM) Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Martin Bourassa as Chair of its Board of Directors. This appointment marks an important milestone for the Foundation, which intends to continue the excellent work carried out since 2013 under the long and fruitful leadership of Mr. André Couillard at a time when financial needs are greater than ever, makingthe support of the business community essential to sustaining the Institute’s cutting‑edge biomedical research mission.
A Remarkable Career, A Determining Commitment
Martin Bourassa, Partner at Talsom management consulting firm, is a CPA‑CMA with more than 25 years of experience in strategic fields such as finance and accounting, information technology, supply chain management and logistics. His career, marked by steady progression—from analyst roles to senior leadership positions in complex environments—speaks to his expertise and his ability to deliver ambitious projects.
Recognized as a natural leader, a respected strategist, and an exceptional communicator with a keen sense of humanity, Martin Bourassa stands out for his ability to rally stakeholders and guide large‑scale business transformations. His vision and expertise will be invaluable to the Foundation, which must skillfully combine an understanding of scientific and clinical excellence with the mobilization of philanthropic support.

Moreover, nearly 7,000 patients are seen each year at the IRCM’s outpatient clinic, underscoring the fundamental relevance of its mission.”
