A well-known figure in the construction and infrastructure sector of the Greater Montreal area, Serge Boileau has had a remarkable professional career, notably marked by his role as Chair of the Commission des services électriques de Montréal (CSEM) until 2022. Driven by a deep concern for the common good, he carried out his duties with a strong sense of public responsibility. At the helm of this strategic organization, responsible for the planning and management of the underground network of conduits for electricity and telecommunications, he played a pivotal role and contributed to major issues related to urban development and the reliability of the metropolis's infrastructure.
Alongside this distinguished career, Serge Boileau has been particularly active for over 20 years through his exceptional commitment to the IRCM Foundation. A member of the Board of Directors since 2005, he quickly became passionately involved in organizing the Parcours Santé Golf Tournament. This annual fundraising event directly contributes to the acquisition of cutting-edge scientific equipment, thus supporting health research conducted at the IRCM.
In 2007, Mr. Boileau became co-chair of the Ambassadors Committee alongside Jacques Gauthier, founder of the tournament and another pillar of the Foundation. A few years later, he assumed full chairmanship. Deeply convinced of the importance of the cause, he wholeheartedly dedicated himself to it, mobilizing numerous companies in the construction sector around the cause of health research and care, inviting them to become partners and ambassadors of the tournament. While helping to raise awareness of the Foundation's mission in key circles, he built a strong and dynamic committee, forged lasting relationships, and created a true sense of belonging.
Under his leadership, more than $3 million has been raised for the IRCM Foundation, directly contributing to the advancement of health research.
