The IRCM Foundation is proud to announce a record $4 million donation to support excellence, training and care in cutting-edge research at the Montreal Clinical Research Institute.
Since its creation, the IRCM Foundation has been the Institute's number one partner. It has been committed to building bridges between individuals, companies and organizations that support research, while aligning these efforts with the IRCM's strategic vision. The shared goal is to maximize the potential for breakthroughs of the Institute's research teams.
Of this record amount, $3.46 million will be invested in highly promising health research projects, $419,000 will contribute to training the next generation of scientists at the Institute, and $123,000 will be allocated to upgrading the IRCM's facilities, which are essential to the pursuit of cutting-edge research.
“This exceptional year is made possible by the contribution, the commitment and the loyalty of our many allies, who understand it is by supporting our best scientists that we will overcome the diseases that affect our loved ones. Whether you are a donor, a corporate partner or a sister foundation, many of you have become philanthropists and put your trust in us to give future generations a priceless gift: a healthier world!” said André Couillard, Chairman of the IRCM Foundation.
In the midst of a major campaign, the IRCM Foundation supports the Institute's priority projects, with major potential for impact in advancing health knowledge and new therapies.
“Having an ally such as the IRCM Foundation is invaluable on many levels. It plays an essential role in raising awareness of our work and rallying those who believe in the excellence of research conducted in Quebec. This enables us to focus on the science and, ultimately, achieve breakthroughs more quickly. Today, the IRCM community joins me in saying THANK YOU 4 million times over to the IRCM Foundation and to all those who make such a tremendous result possible,” said Dr. Jean-François Côté, President and Scientific Director of the IRCM.
