Early in the day on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, the IRCM Foundation's friends and partners gathered at Summerlea Golf Club for the traditional Parcours santé Golf Tournament of the IRCM Foundation.
$280,000 were raised during this 22nd edition, organized under the honorary presidency of Frédéric Kieffer, Vice-President, Executive Search Consulting at Auray Leadership, and in the presence of over 250 golfers. With a splendid sunny weather, camaraderie and good humour were the order of the day for this sporting and networking event, in support of health research conducted at the IRCM. As in previous years, the day ended with a dinner, crowned by an auction skillfully led by the renowned Yvon Lambert.
This year's proceeds will go towards the purchase of a scientific equipment called fibroscopy. This state-of-the-art equipment will make it possible to accurately assess the presence of hepatic steatosis and the stage of its resulting fibrosis in patients of the Clinic and in participants of research protocols.
“This kind of scientific equipment is essential to enable our researchers to make new discoveries more rapidly, thereby increasing health knowledge and the potential for innovative therapies. We are proud to make a concrete contribution to this larger-than-life cause,” said Frédéric Kieffer.
“We are so grateful for the support, the loyalty and, above all, the trust of our partners, who make all this possible through their presence and commitment, explained André Couillard, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Directors. It's thanks to them that, year after year, the IRCM Foundation is able to fulfill its mission and support the IRCM's excellent research”.
