Professional background
Éric Lachance joined Énergir in 2017 and has acted as President and CEO since January 2020. Committed to the energy transition, Éric Lachance thinks of energy not as a product, but as a service that must best meet various needs, including moving towards a lower-carbon economy.  For Mr. Lachance, the transformation of the energy world over the next 20 years will be a source of challenges that will require creativity and adaptability.

Previously, Mr. Lachance worked for the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ), notably in Paris, as Regional Director - Europe, where he headed the team responsible for managing the monitoring and valuation of CDPQ's European infrastructure investment portfolio. As part of his duties, he represented the Caisse on the boards of directors and supervisory boards of several companies, including Fluxys Belgium, Colonial Pipeline, Keolis and Heathrow Airport.

In particular, but not exclusively, Éric Lachance would like to meet suppliers of goods and services with mature practices in terms of diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as suppliers from aboriginal communities. On the services side, suppliers offering more targeted than general services are his priority.
