Professional background
Since 2019, Martin Brassard has been President and CEO of Héroux Devtek.
He joined the company in 1994 and quickly progressed through a series of strategic positions. He played a key role in plant restructuring, ERP system implementation, development of the Landing Gear Division and major acquisitions.
The company
Founded in 1942 and specializing at the time in the manufacture of parts for the aerospace industry, Héroux Devtek is today the third largest landing gear manufacturer in the industry. Headquartered in the province of Quebec, the company currently employs some 1,800 specialized staff at its 15 centers of excellence strategically located in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Spain.
The Company specializes in the design, development and manufacture of landing gear, hydraulic and electromechanical flight control actuators, custom ball screws and critical aircraft components for the civil aviation and defense market segments.
Héroux-Devtek has also built a solid reputation for its services, which include maintenance, repair, overhaul, spare parts supply, warranty administration and support services, technical publications and on-site technical support and training.
Expenses related to this virtual initiative are minimal. Nearly all revenues generated are donated to the IRCM Foundation, whose mission is to support basic and clinical research at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal (IRCM).
Researchers at the IRCM, grouped around 4 major themes, are working to deepen our knowledge of almost all the major diseases of our time: cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular, genetic or inflammatory diseases, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, to name but a few. Physicians at the IRCM Clinic care for patients living with complex or rare diseases that require ultra-specialized follow-up.
