The 19th edition of The IRCM Foundation’s traditional Golf Tournament-Parcours santé took place on August 30 at the Summerlea Golf Club in Vaudreuil-Dorion, under the honorary presidency of Eric Leveille, General Manager of Nedco Quebec. With the participation of 140 golfers, $150,000 was raised to support the acquisition of new state-of-the-art research equipment for the Institute's health researchers.
« The current pandemic has brought the importance of medical research to the attention of the entire population. We are fortunate to have the support of the Foundation's partners and friends again this year, said André Couillard, President of the IRCM Foundation. More than ever, funding for health research is essential and our researchers must continue their life-saving work.
In a relaxed atmosphere conducive to good humour, the players were able to enjoy the magnificent golf course and later in the day, a silent auction masterfully conducted by Yvon Lambert, where more than 50 interesting lots were offered to the participants.
The Institute and the Foundation warmly thanks all the participants, partners, members of the tournament ambassadors committee and volunteers who made the event possible.
