Leave your mark
by ensuring a bright future
for research

Making a planned gift to the IRCM Foundation is a powerful way to leave your legacy in keeping with your human and philanthropic values. This highly significant gesture will have a lasting impact.

What is
a planned donation?

It’s simply a donation in the form of a promise that will be carried out after your death and gives you complete freedom with your assets during your lifetime. When the donation becomes a reality, the IRCM Foundation will issue a receipt that may produce appealing tax benefits for your estate.

Who can make
a planned gift?

A planned gift is available to everyone. You don’t need to be rich to give meaning to your estate. This gesture is first and foremost an expression of your values, your hope, and your commitment to the research cause. Your gift can be entirely anonymous, or your legacy can be connected to one of our research funds, whichever you prefer.

Different types
of
planned gifts

Bequests

Bequests allow you to ensure financial security for your loved ones while supporting the IRCM’s mission. This type of donation may present appealing tax benefits for your heirs. A bequest may offer a tax credit of up to 100% of your net annual income for the year of your death. Are you getting the most out of your Will?

By choosing this form of a planned gift, you may benefit from an immediate or deferred tax credit without affecting the value of your estate. Furthermore, compensation will be paid directly to the IRCM Foundation upon your passing.

Other planned gifts

Many other types of planned gifts are available to you depending on your personal and family situation. You can explore these with your financial advisor to know which one best suits your philanthropic aspirations and family situation.
